Betekenis achter het lied
Het origineel van Everybody Hurts stamt uit 1993, maar de gecoverde versie van Joe Cocker uit 2004 is veel bekender. Vooral in Engeland en Amerika is dit een populair nummer voor uitvaarten. In Nederland wordt het minder, maar toch regelmatig gebruikt. Dit lied spreekt mensen aan doordat er zo aangrijpend wordt gezongen over het pijn en verdriet van iedereen. Pijn en verdriet dat juist op een uitvaart wordt gevoeld.
